When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. When you use Picturings, we collect photos and videos you upload, captions you write, and device information needed for push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Picturings service, including: authenticating your account, displaying your content to authorized viewers, sending push notifications, and monitoring for errors via crash reporting (Sentry).

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Photos and videos are stored in encrypted cloud storage (AWS S3). Passwords are hashed using Argon2. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring
• AWS S3 / CloudFront — media storage and delivery
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting
• Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app, which will anonymize your profile and deactivate your account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we anonymize your profile data and deactivate your account. Uploaded media may be retained for a reasonable period to allow recovery, after which it is permanently deleted.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
